I’m Sloan.

I’m a twenty-something self-proclaimed farm lover (even though I’ve lived in cities all my life). My roots are in the Midwest, although I dabbled in North Carolina for a while during college. I’ve been learning to live with Hashimotos Thyroiditis since I was 14, and I’ve come to embrace the journey of health + wellness. I am passionate about our food system, particularly food and agriculture policy, and hope to continue to shape the next generation of eaters and producers. I’m an (almost) lawyer by training.image1 (2)

If I’m not cooking, you can find me at the gym trying to lift tons of weight or pull my body up over a bar, on the Peloton or probably sipping on some merlot. I’m a proud dog mom to Fitz and Willa the golden retrievers and LOVE our suburban home just on the outskirts of Minneapolis, MN.   I am totally loving exploring our city and I look forward to sharing more adventures of what we find!

Most of this blog will feature gluten free + paleo + dairy free + some AIP friendly recipes, but I’m a firm believer in moderation as a key to diet and won’t exclusively include recipes for one diet over another. Creating a good relationship with food and those who grow it is essential, and I hope to share that with you all!
